About BuildLink ATX
Your time belongs on the job.
Not chasing leads, and not digging through city records at 10 p.m. We find the new jobs in Austin, so you can spend your time estimating them, bidding them, and winning them.
You know how this goes
If you're the one keeping the project schedule full, you've been here. You find out about a good commercial job a week too late, reach out to the GC, and hear, "Sorry, we already have our electrician."
Or you pay a website for leads, and so do five other shops. The job goes to whoever drops their number the most.
Meanwhile, your crews need work lined up and your bid calendar needs filling. Your shop can do the work. You just heard about the job too late.
Why I started BuildLink ATX
I've seen this problem from the inside. I worked for an electrical company with good people and solid skills, but it couldn't find jobs fast enough, and when it did, it couldn't land them. The work dried up. People were laid off, and others were loaned out to other shops just to stay busy.
That shop wasn't short on talent. It was short on time and information. Austin publishes every building permit, but nobody running crews has time to read through hundreds of them each week.
So I built a system that does it for them, and I review every alert myself before it goes out. The trades will always be needed. Good crews deserve a steady, reliable way to find the work.
What we promise, and what we don't
We promise a clear list every week of new permitted jobs in your trade, with the GC running each one and a link to the city record so you can check the scope yourself.
We don't promise that you'll win every job. Nobody can honestly promise that. What we can do is make sure you hear about the job early enough to have a real shot at it.
There are no long contracts. Try it free for two weeks, and if it isn't worth it to you, cancel any time.
Kindness
We know how hard you work, and every email we send is written with that in mind.
Respect
Your time, your trade, your business. We give it to you straight, with no hype and no pressure.
Haste
In this business, early wins. We move fast so you hear about the job first, and we answer your emails fast too.
Who's behind it
Optional: add a job-site photo here.
I'm Liam Rutkowski, born and raised in Austin. I'm a second-year apprentice electrician with IEC (Independent Electrical Contractors), working hard toward my master electrician license and, one day, my own electrical company.
Along the way, I've worked on some of the city's most recognizable projects, including the Frost Bank building downtown, Meta's downtown office building, and a World War I and II–era aircraft hangar renovated into a scientific lab.
I started BuildLink ATX to help build a better future for the trades and the people in them. Every email to BuildLink ATX comes straight to me.
